It’s funny. People would think that learning a language from your partner would be easy as pie, but it’s not always that way. Yes, we teach each other certain words and phrases when needed, ask for translations when needed, and speak with each other to practice, but to actually be taught like a student and teacher would kind of kill the time you need to just be a couple.

I think once you study on your own, then you can start naturally talking with your partner, and your speaking would get better because you can start picking up things more easily.

This comic was done in collaboration with Hello Talk. It’s a cool app for exchanging languages and I’ve used it often. I’ve met one person on a consistent basis who was helping me with Korean (our schedules are really busy now though), and talked with a few others. It’s free and easy to use, so check it out πŸ™‚

    I tried to used it to learn Korean and Japanese however it didn’t work for me that well :/
