I got this idea from a fan (didn’t want me to publicize their name but thanks!). This might be helpful especially for those of you who are really into the dramas here and are trying to pick up on new words. There are quite a few vocabulary words relating to this subject. The good thing about making these is it’s almost like studying as I can remember things better if I have a picture to go with them.
So Korean, just like other languages has words that can have many meanings. In this comic “양” (yang) was the word I was confused with. It can mean sheep or amount/quantity and since my vocabulary is not advanced yet, I assumed it was sheep. I also try to agree with things just so it seems like I’m fitting in the conversation as a joke sometimes, but I genuinely thought they were talking about sheep on a farm for some odd reason. This happens quite frequently with other words.
So hopefully this helps those of you who may have downloaded a Korean game to your smartphone and had no idea what some of the vocabulary was. I’ve had this happen many times and although I could understand basic Konglish, there were some tougher terms that I couldn’t understand. This graphic doesn’t cover everything, but it covers some common ones you may come across.
Have to give a shoutout and thanks to Go!BillyKorean for giving me the idea and providing me with the game terms and translations. Check out his site for some fun Korean lessons!
