I got this idea from a fan (didn’t want me to publicize their name but thanks!). These vocabulary words might be helpful especially for those of you who are really into the dramas here and are trying to pick up on new words. There are quite a few vocabulary words relating to this subject. Try not to get too intimidated by how many of them there are.

Learn a few here and there, listen for them in the shows and music you consume, then learn some more. It’s a step-by-step process.

Below, you will find the Romanization and example sentences for each of the words in this infographic. Always remember that Romanization is only a tool and don’t rely on it for perfect pronunciation!

모든 사람들은 연애 편지 받는 것을 좋아한단다. (mo-deun sa-ram-deul-eun yeon-ae pyeon-ji bad-neun geo-seul jo-a-han-dan-da) = Everyone loves getting a love letter.

첫사랑이었다. (cheot-sa-rang-i-eot-da) = It was first love.

짝사랑 했어? (Jjak-sa-rang hae-sseo) = You had a secret crush?

그는 삼각관계에 빠져 있어요. (Geu-neun sam-gak-gwan-gye ppa-jyeo i-sseo-yo) = He got involved in a love triangle.

심지어 동성연애자인 친구들을 만나기도 했다. (sim-ji-eo dong-seong-yeo-nae-ja-in chin-gu-deu-reul man-na-gi-do haet-tta) = I have friends who are gay.

커플이야? (keo-peu-ri-ya) = Are you guys a couple?

자기야 가자! (ja-gi-ya ga-ja) = Honey let’s go!

여보 왜 그래? (yeo-bo wae geu-rae) = Honey, what’s the matter?

옛날에는 엄청 바람둥이였고. (yen-na-re-neun eom-cheong ba-ram-dung-i-yeot-kko) = I used to be a player a long time ago.

내가 왜 그녀와 헤어졌을까? (nae-ga wae geu-nyeo-wa he-eo-jeo-sseul-kka) = Why did I break up with her?

고백해. (go-bae-kae) = Confess to him/her.

가벼운 뽀뽀를 해도 될까요? (ga-byeo-un ppo-ppo-reul hae-do doel-kka-yo) = Can I give you a peck on the cheek?

나 약 1년 전에 차였어. (na yak il-nyeon jeo-ne cha-yeo-sseo) = I got dumped about a year ago.

여자친구가 그 애를 찼어. (yeo-ja-chin-gu-ga geu ae-reul cha-sseo) = His girlfriend dumped him.

키스해도 돼요? (ki-seu-hae-do dwae-yo) = Can I kiss you?

나는 네가 튕길 때가 좋더라. (na-neun ne-ga twing-gil ttae-ga jo-teo-ra) = I love it when you play hard to get.

소개팅을 했어? (so-gae-ting-eul hae-sseo) = You went on a blind date?

여친 있어요? (yeo-chin i-sseo-yo) = Do you have a girlfriend?

저 남친 있어요. (jeo nam-chin i-sseo-yo) = I have a boyfriend.

연인이세요? (yeo-ni-ni-se-yo) = Are you two lovers?

오빠, 나 사랑해? (o-ppa na sa-rang-hae) = Oppa, you do love me?

많이 사랑해! (ma-ni sa-rang-hae) = I love you very much!
