Dried squid is just one of those snacks I will never get used to here. I tried it once when I first arrived in Korea years ago, and I never wanted to try it again. I have never tried beondegi, and I probably never will. The smell from those also get to me.

This is one of those cultural differences that can often happen when it comes to food. I love a lot of Korean food, but some things I’m just not quite fond of (kimchi). Hyo likes a lot of food from back in the states, but she will not go near peanut butter or any type of peanut butter and chocolate combination (blasphemy!) We are both convinced we will develop a sudden taste for the foods we don’t like at some point in the future.
