Episode #43: 개똥 (Dog Poop)
So yea, I couldn’t believe it when I saw it and just couldn’t understand how careless the neighbors could have been. Just complete laziness. I had also read a thread on waygook.org about someone in a similar situation, and posters gave advice, and one of the pieces of advice was to write what I wrote in the note.
I knew it was a very simple message, and I was hopeful it would get the message across quickly and concisely haha. But my other neighbor totally took care of business with the note:
I’m not gonna translate it all, but it basically said stop being lazy and clean up after your dog. The person also threatened to call security and said “I know who you are, so you better clean it up from now on or I will tell everyone about you and your dog.” I also love the little mean face at the end of the letter. Hyo had a good laugh after I told her as this is not the first time I’ve attempted to write notes to bad neighbors.Remember that romanization is only a tool! Try not to depend on it too much and try learning the Korean alphabet and how to pronounce the letters properly and you will have a much easier time learning.
